Tender Description

The Chad Basin Development Authority (CBDA) invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the construction of a new irrigation canal network for the South Basin Region. This major infrastructure project aims to expand irrigation capacity to support agricultural development across approximately 5,000 hectares of farmland. The work includes earthworks, canal lining, construction of control structures, and installation of water distribution systems. The project is expected to be completed within 18 months from the date of contract award. Bidders should demonstrate capacity to handle large-scale irrigation infrastructure projects. A pre-bid site visit will be organized for all interested bidders on a date to be communicated through the CBDA website.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Evidence of company registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) 2. Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years 3. Current Pension Compliance Certificate 4. Current Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Compliance Certificate 5. Registration with Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) 6. Evidence of similar large-scale irrigation infrastructure projects in the past seven (7) years 7. Minimum average annual construction turnover of ₦500 million 8. List of key equipment owned or leased for the project 9. Key personnel with relevant qualifications and experience 10. Audited financial statements for the last three (3) years 11. Evidence of access to credit facilities 12. Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policy and implementation plan
