Environmental Specialist

Job Description

As an Environmental Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting environmental impact assessments and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations for our projects and operations across the Chad Basin region.

This role combines field work, analysis, and collaboration with various stakeholders to protect the environment while supporting sustainable development.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental impact assessments for new and ongoing projects
• Monitor environmental compliance with local and international regulations
• Develop and implement environmental management plans
• Collect and analyze environmental data
• Prepare environmental reports and recommendations
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure environmental considerations are integrated into project planning
• Engage with local communities and stakeholders on environmental matters

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental management
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance requirements
• Experience in conducting environmental impact assessments
• Strong analytical and report writing skills
• Field experience in data collection and monitoring
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
